With its three window side profile and bi-plane rear wing the XR4i was the closest production Sierra to the radical Probe III concept car that had previewed the Sierra’s styling cues to an awestruck press in 1981. Announced just seven months after its parent range, in April 1983, the XR4i was intended as a sporting and luxurious ‘halo’ car to rival other continent crushing 3-litre GTs such as the Opel Monza and BMW 6 Series, rather than as a replacement for the Capri.
In fact the Capri outlived the XR4i, as the model ceased production in 1985 after just 27,400 examples had been produced.

Event Tickets
All event tickets are sold electronically and sent via email. All ticket orders are subject to a £1.50 online booking fee per order. Please print the order confirmation email to receive entry into the museum or event.

Return and Exchange Policy
The Heritage Motor Centre Online Gift Shop is happy to exchange or refund any items returned in their original condition with a receipt up to 28 days from the date of purchase.
Regrettably, we are not able to exchange:
- Video, DVD, audio, multimedia or software products and the product seal has been broken; or
- Goods made to your specifications or personalisation e.g. Heritage Certificates
- Special event tickets or museum admission tickets (see terms and conditions)
If a product is faulty and is returned with proof of purchase, we will be happy to exchange or refund.
