Heritage Motor Centre Achives Full Accreditation

The Heritage Motor Centre, Gaydon has recently achieved full Accreditation under the national scheme promoted by the Museums, Libraries and Archives Council (MLA). Gaining Accreditation provides a recognised benchmark for both visitors and government agencies showing that a museum has reached professional standards of collections management, visitor care and good governance.

The Centre gained a further accolade by being awarded the rare distinction of an additional special commendation from MLA for the standards by which it cares for its collections, one of only two museums in Warwickshire to be recognised in this way.
“Reaching national benchmarks through the Accreditation scheme is a real boost for the centre, confirming the high standards of customer service and exhibitions we maintain at Gaydon” said Head of Collections and Interpretation Tim Bryan.
The Accreditation award follows the successful £1.6 million refurbishment of the museum completed in 2007 which has seen an 23% boost in visitor numbers this year.
