Norman Wisdom, man of the moment

The Heritage Motor Centre recently welcomed a very special guest when Sir Norman Wisdom took a trip down memory lane, visiting cars from the past and present. The 90 year old, who announced his retirement this year, is an avid fan of motorcars and jumped at the chance to see some of the legendary vehicles at the museum, home to the world's largest collection of historic British cars.

A Coventry school boy was surprised with a once in a lifetime prize of a chauffeur driven ride in the Lady Penelope's Fab1 car at the Heritage Motor Centre, Gaydon, Warwickshire.

John Bishop, the Heritage Motor Centre's Car Clubs and Groups Co-ordinator and his brother Geoffrey have organised a walk around each of the 42 National Hunt Racecourses in England, Scotland and Wales, in an attempt to raise awareness of Marfan Syndrome (MFS) and raise money for Marfan Association UK on 7th March 2006.

together to save Longbridge history

The Heritage Motor Centre, Gaydon, home to the British Motor Industry Heritage Trust (BMIHT), has been working with PwC, the MG Rover administrators and more recently, Nanjing Automotive, in order to save historic artefacts, documents and photographs from sections of the Longbridge site which were due to be handed back to the property developers, St Modwens.
