Winner!
Muriel longed for the day when someone would invent the cupholder.

Entries that almost made it:

- She picked Nick for his amazing ability to park anywhere.
- The old Morris could do with a rest after jumping that gate.
- Gerald and Dora needed a rest after the excitement of their first dual carriageway.
- Do you think the handbrake will hold her Mildred, or should I tie it to the gate?
- What do they mean – “Parking for Emergencies Only”?  I need my cuppa.
- The first M1 service area started off in a very small way.
- Mary knew that trading the Sat Nav for a set of high power spot lights was always going to cause a Minor problem.
- The great thing about these modern cars is that they always break down in the most convenient of places.
- With tailgating incidents increasing, driving nowadays was no picnic.
- I suppose one day they will ban drinking and driving...
