What's happening?
A display of locally manufactured vehicles demonstrating 100 years of achievement by engineers in the area. Famous car marques such as Jaguar, Triumph, Standard, Alvis, Lea-Francis, Lanchester, early Rovers, Daimler, Riley, Singer, Sunbeam, Humber and Hillman will be there, representing every decade since manufacturing began in Coventry. The oldest entry is from 1901; the newest a 2008 Jaguar XF.
Highlights include three Le Mans cars, including two winners and a works Jaguar D-type.

Famous motorcycles such as Triumph, Rudge and Francis-Barnett will be there – plus some rarer models including two Rover motorcycles and a magnificent Montgomery V-twin. As with the cars, every decade is represented.

Examples of some of the latest vehicle technologies being developed for the future with displays by MIRA, Ricardo and Prodrive – the three leading automotive consultancies in the area will also be on display. Prodrive’s display will include a rally simulator where you can try your skills as a rally driver. Formula Student teams from Warwick and Coventry Universities will be there and schools from the Greenpower project will show off their electric racing cars.

This is a unique opportunity to see a cross-section of Coventry’s automotive engineering history and introduce the next generation to the potential of a career within the automotive industry – so bring the family to meet a mixture of engineers and vehicle owners united in their celebration of a proud past and their anticipation of a great future.

Over 40 owners’ clubs are being contacted directly but entries from individual enthusiasts are most welcome. Entry forms will be sent out from February onwards. To request an entry form, contact Martyn Roberts, address below.
