Ian uses a unique style of painting with remote control cars on canvas, to create bespoke contemporary artworks.

Visitors to the Museum will be able to watch Ian in action as he creates his unique artworks. When he is off site, visitors will still be able to view a number of originals on display as well as being able to purchase his prints from the Museums gift shop..

Ian’s art has attracted considerable media attention. His artwork was recently featured on BBC’s Top Gear, The One Show, Blue Peter and more.

Curator for the Heritage Motor Centre stated “We’re delighted that Ian is our artist in residence. Ian has a huge following and will no doubt attract a lot of interest. With Ian’s passion for cars, the Heritage Motor Centre is the perfect venue for his studio”.

Comma Race Car Artwork

Oil and car care company, Comma, commissioned motorsport artist Ian Cook with using real racing vehicles to paint an artwork to launch the firm’s £2 million motorsport promotion.

Daybreak

In March 2011 Ian Cook featured on the ITV breakfast show Daybreak, where he created a portrait of Adrian Chiles and Christine Bleakley as well as the Daybreak logo. You can watch Ian creating the Daybreak logo below using his unique methods.
