Come and meet an artist with a difference – one that paints with remote controlled cars!
Meet Ian Cook of PopBangColour, artist in residence at the Heritage Motor Centre, watch how he works, have a go yourself – create portraits with car parts, landscapes with micro-machines and doodle on car panels. A great hands-on activity for all the family.
Free activity – but normal Museum prices apply.
Ian was recently seen on the BBC One Show where alongside JessieJ and Chris Evans, he re-created JessieJ’s latest album cover he is also a regular on the motoring circuit creating works of art at the likes of Goodwood, Silverstone and the British Grand Prix.

Ian has his studio within the museum, so that members of the public are able to see him creating as part of the visitor experience. The studio is an active space often displaying new artworks, fresh from creation from shows and events. The studio also features elements such as bodypanels from the 2010 BTCC championship and items Ian has collected over the past four years.
The Centre also has a number of original artworks displayed throughout the building, including the Aston Martin artwork original seen on BBC’s Top Gear program featured in the ‘art special’ at MIMA art gallery.
Ian often creates commissioned artwork within the studio, sometimes rare vehicles are displayed whilst an artwork of it is created.
