    Technical Specification Packages

    Technical Specification Packages

If you wish to present your vehicle to an official licensing, registration or importation authority, you might require more information than can be found in the factory record.

For this reason, for an additional fee you can now add a Technical Specification Sheet to your Heritage Certificate or Dating Letter.

    Dating Letter

    Dating Letter

A Dating Letter will show the vehicle’s date of manufacture, as recorded in the original factory build record, presented on British Motor Industry Heritage Trust letterhead.

Please be advised that if you require proof of your vehicle’s age, the DVLA will now only accept a Heritage Certificate as minimum evidence.

Web Enquiry Service (no document issued)

This is a way to confirm a detail from a vehicle’s build record, such as a date of manufacture or original colour, in an informal manner. This enquiry service is for a single piece of information. If you require all the information held in a vehicle’s build record, you will need to purchase a Heritage Certificate.

Please note, this information is provided by email and will not be accepted by official licensing or registration authorities. If you require information in a formal manner, you will need to purchase a Heritage Certificate. This option is only available for a vehicle with a chassis number (VIN).

    Potential Waiting Time

Due to exceptional demand, there is currently a potential waiting time of up to 6 weeks for Heritage Certificates. However, we will endeavour to complete orders within our normal 28 days delivery time. Thank you for your patience.

Our site uses the latest 128 bit SSL security, complying with and exceeding all necessary security requirements to protect your details. We do not store any sensitive information (card number, etc).

SSL encrypts your order online to avoid any decoding of that information of anyone other than the necessary processing parties. To check the security of your connection, look at the status bar of your browser window after accessing the server. If you see an unbroken key or a closed lock then, depending upon your browser, SSL is active. You can also double check by looking at the URL line of your browser – while accessing a secure server the first characters of the address will change from HTTP to HTTPS.
